Terms of Service
Effective date: August 29, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Trip Master and related Salix Technologies applications, websites, portals, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Trip Master Is
Trip Master is a productivity, recordkeeping, training-support, and workflow tool designed primarily around transportation operations. Features may include trip and mileage records, trailer information, pay-related estimates, reporting tools, training records, organization access, and synchronization between supported devices.
2. Trucker-First Does Not Replace Driver Responsibility
We build Trip Master with real transportation work in mind, but the Service does not replace a driver’s professional judgment, safe operating practices, required inspections, dispatch instructions, employer systems, electronic logging devices, payroll records, official company records, or applicable laws and regulations. Always follow the controlling safety, legal, employer, and regulatory requirements.
3. Accounts and Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity performed through your account. Do not share passwords or authentication secrets. If you believe an account has been compromised, stop using the affected credentials where appropriate and contact Salix Technologies Support as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Company-Created or Organization-Managed Accounts
An employer, fleet, training organization, or other authorized organization may create, request, sponsor, or manage access to an account on behalf of a user. Organization administrators may assign roles, connect trainer/trainee relationships, manage authorized organization access, or administer records within the permissions available to them.
A company-created account remains subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Organization-managed access does not authorize misuse of the Service or access to information outside the administrator’s permitted scope. A user with questions about an organization-created account may contact Salix Technologies Support.
5. Accuracy of User-Entered Information
Users are responsible for information they enter, upload, select, or confirm. Estimates, totals, summaries, pay calculations, mileage calculations, and other generated information depend on the data and settings provided to the Service. Review important information before relying on it.
6. Pay and Financial Information
Pay-related features are organizational and estimation tools. Trip Master is not a payroll system, bank, accounting service, tax service, or guarantee of wages. Employer payroll statements and applicable agreements remain the controlling source for actual compensation.
7. Training and Evaluation Features
Training records, backing logs, evaluations, and related tools are intended to help authorized users organize training activity. They do not replace required employer training programs, licensing standards, safety procedures, or official qualification decisions.
8. Photos, Notes, and Other User Content
You retain responsibility for content you submit. You represent that you are authorized to provide it and that doing so does not violate law, privacy rights, employer policy, confidentiality obligations, or another person’s rights. Do not upload unnecessary sensitive information.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- gain or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, records, systems, or administrative tools;
- interfere with, overload, damage, probe, reverse engineer where prohibited, or disrupt the Service;
- submit unlawful, fraudulent, malicious, or intentionally misleading information;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent authorization;
- use another user’s private information for an unauthorized purpose; or
- violate applicable law or the rights of another person or organization.
10. Roles, Permissions, and Administrative Actions
Certain features are restricted by role, organization, or permission. Salix Technologies and authorized organization administrators may change or revoke access when reasonably necessary to maintain security, correct permissions, comply with organizational changes, or address misuse.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. It forms an important part of your relationship with the Service. Salix Technologies does not sell Trip Master user information or provide it to advertisers or data brokers for behavioral advertising.
12. Service Changes, Updates, and Availability
Trip Master is actively developed. We may add, modify, replace, or retire features; change supported platforms; perform maintenance; or temporarily restrict access when reasonably necessary. We work to provide a dependable Service, but availability may be affected by networks, devices, cloud providers, maintenance, or circumstances outside our control.
13. Suspension and Termination
Access may be suspended or terminated for material violations of these Terms, security concerns, unauthorized use, legal requirements, or loss of authorized organization access. Users may request account deletion as described in our Account & Data Deletion page.
14. Intellectual Property
The Service, Salix Technologies branding, Trip Master branding, software, interfaces, documentation, and original product materials are owned by or licensed to Salix Technologies and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to users.
15. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party infrastructure or platform services to operate. Those services may be governed by their own terms. Salix Technologies is not responsible for an outage or action of an independent service that is outside our reasonable control.
16. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. Salix Technologies does not promise that every calculation, synchronization, connection, or feature will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Salix Technologies will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service. This limitation does not apply where the law does not permit such a limitation.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. Material updates will be reflected by a revised effective date and, where appropriate, additional notice. Continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
